It’s just after the director’s birthday, and there’s an Austin film festival that got him a great gift.

The 2022 Indie Meme Film Festival is bringing 40 acclaimed South Asian films to Austin, and we’re absolutely thrilled that they have invited Receiver!

The Festival will have a hybrid schedule this year, and Receiver will be screening in the festival’s virtual exhibition, streaming in the A Matter of Survival shorts program from April 22nd-April 25th.

Receiver is coming home! (For real this time)

So if you haven't yet had the chance to see Receiver (or are desperate to watch it again) -- you've got a week to screen the film totally for FREE at the Regent Park Film Festival in Team Receiver’s hometown of Toronto!

That's right, Canada's largest free film festival, the RPFF launches its 19th edition tomorrow -- Thursday November 25th, and will be running until Thursday December 2. Once more, the festival will be screening virtually, and screenings will be open to viewers all across Canada.

Receiver will be screening in the Internal Musings program starting Nov 25th at 6pm EST, and will be available 24/7 until the end of the day on December 2. Program details can be found here: https://rpff.ca/2021/program/internal-musings/

Receiver is headed across the pond to screen this November at the Norwich Film Festival!

Receiver is screening in the Late Night Shorts Program on November 12, 2024 at 11pm, and will be streaming virtually throughout the festival from November 13th until November 30!

Due to the pandemic, the Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival is going virtual-only this year, and every film will be available to rent for the entire duration of the film festival, for viewers anywhere in the world.

Receiver will be screening in the Darkness Within program, and lead actress Tahirih Vejdani and director Cavan Campbell will be taking part in a Live Q&A on Thursday Nov. 11, 8:30pm ET.

As the weather gets cold, Receiver is headed North!

The Yellowknife International Film Festival, Northern Canada’s largest film even returns with a tight, incredible lineup that includes Danis Goulet’s amazing sci-fi thriller Night Raiders and Tracey Deer’s TIFF winner Beans! The festival is entirely online this season, and films are available to rent through the duration of the festival. 

Receiver is screening in the Thrillers program, which goes live at 2am on Nov 3rd! Please note that digital screenings at YKIFF are only available to stream to Canadian viewers.

Receiver is coming home! (sort of)

Not only will Receiver be screening in my home province, but it'll be screening in-person from a beautiful 4k transfer (seriously, Islanders are going to be the first audience to see the film the way it was meant to be seen), and it's the closing film of the Charlottetown Film Festival!

Receiver is screening in the W.T.F Program, Sunday October 24th at 9pm at the City Cinema (64 King St. Charlottetown)

New England’s largest Pan-Asian film festival is just around the corner and Receiver is coming to Boston this October for the Boston Asian American Film Festival!

Receiver will be screening digitally in the Altered Realities program, which will be available on demand from October 21 through to the end of Halloween night, and to viewers around the world!

Receiver is headed back to sunny LA!

Receiver been invited to join LAs venerable cinematheque, NewFilmmakers Los Angeles in July!

The July 17th program is spotlighting contemporary Canadian cinema and Receiver will be among the films opening for Tracey Deer's TIFF & CSA  award-winning feature Beans.

The July screening will take place virtually (available to viewers worldwide), and you'll be able to watch the three programs at any time during the day, but I'll be taking part in a live Q&A at 4:45pm PT that evening.

In addition, I'll be doing an interview with Moviemaker Magazine that will hit newstands and the web the week following.
